Research has started on a 4-book graphic novel biography on the late Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi. One of the most controversial and complicated figures of the late 20th Century, this undertaking is not without its challenges, sensitivities, and awareness of the hero he was to many and the villain he was to others. The focus will be on his life, from birth in the sands of Italian Libya, to the foxhole in Sirte where he met his demise. Finding the real Gaddafi through all of the intrigue, myth, and turbulence of his life and conveying it in graphic novel form will be one of the greatest challenges of my life. Challenge accepted.
